Assistant JROTC Instructor

Reports To:          Building Principal/Head JROTC Instructor

Amount of Travel Required:  Minimal travel may be required if in conjunction with pre-approved professional development

                                             activities

Positions Supervised:  None

Work Schedule:  207-day contract, Monday through Friday;

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Designated as a department head (or equivalent) at the school and acts as the unit commander providing overall JROTC program management, direction, and oversight to assisting program Instructors and cadet membership programs and activities.

Education

 

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a valid Arkansas Teacher's License with appropriate certification, meeting Arkansas Department of Education standards. Certified by US Army Cadet Command (USACC), Junior ROTC Directorate. MUST BE RETIRED MILITARY. 

 

                                                                                         

Experience

           1-3 Years Experience, CTE Certification in Junior ROTC 7-12, Technical Permit

 

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

   Computer Skills

 Basic technology proficiency, with the ability to learn and implement district teacher technology to include grade           reporting and parental communication technology (Grade Quick, Ed Line Programs)

   Certificates & Licenses

Valid Arkansas Teacher's License with the appropriate certification, in accordance with Arkansas Department of Education requirements. 

   Other Requirements

 Appreciation for diversity.  Ability to pass required ASP/FBI/DHS background checks.
